HELP!
The King of Happily Ever After has noticed some very important artifacts missing from the Once Upon A Time Museum. If the items are not returned by midnight, a spell cast by the Wicked Queen will undo all of the happy endings in the kingdom. All the King’s Horses and All the King’s Men chased the culprits to downtown Dyersburg before they lost the trail.
Can YOU help the characters of your favorite fairy tales continue living happily ever after?
McIver’s Grant Public Library will kick off its 2020 Summer Reading Program – “Imagine Your Story: Fairy Tales, Myths and Legends” on Thursday, May 28.
As a part of its virtual kickoff celebration, a scavenger hunt will take place in downtown Dyersburg. Items will be hidden in business windows along West Court Street, Mill Avenue and around the Courthouse Square. Families who participate in the scavenger hunt and check off the items will earn a virtual badge and a prize at the end of the summer reading program.
To encourage social distancing, library patrons will not have to enter the participating businesses to take part in the scavenger hunt. This allows families to take part in the event over several weeks, even after business hours. Bingo cards may be picked up at McIver’s Grant Public Library, located at 410 W. Court St. (across from City Hall) or printed off of the library’s summer reading page at www.McIversGrantPublicLibrary.org.
